The Blind Side (2009): When One Family's Kindness Changes a Life

Directed by: John Lee Hancock In The Blind Side , we meet Michael Oher, a teen who was homeless until he became a part of a loving Tuohy family who helped him become an football player and realize the true meaning of having a family. What I liked the most about the movie is not the character of Michael but the family that took him in so easily. Such a brave act from Leigh Ann, such silent support from Sean, and Collins and SJ treating Michael like their own brother, especially SJ who always calls him “Big Brother” at school. The movie wonderfully demonstrates how trust, love, protection, and humanity can transform the life of a person. Sometimes, all one needs is somebody who trusts him and opens the door which seemed impossible for him to enter. The Blind Side taught me one thing: not all issues can be resolved with help of kindness, but it can completely transform the life of a person.
